With some small drawbacks regarding the adjustability of the wheels and the lack of some features like deck wash, this model still remains a great choice that offers a good balance between price and efficiency.
The Husqvarna 7021P 21-Inch 160cc comes at an affordable price that encourages you to have a closer look at the machine. It offers enough power to handle wide areas of grass with minimum effort from the operator thanks to the compact design, the easy maneuvering in tight angles, and the multiple discharging features. If you want a machine that will do the job at a low price without cutting on the performance, this machine is what you need.
This is a gas powered unit that features a 160cc Honda engine and a 6.9-pound per foot gross torque that is enough power to move the blade and provide an even cutting of the grass. The engine is very silent and it offers a quick start every time you need to use the machine, it is capable of spinning at 3000 rpm with 4 horsepower that helps you easily maneuver the machine on any type of terrain, even hilly and sloped ones. The deck has a 21-inch cutting width and it can be adjusted to one of the four positions, with variable heights from 1.25” to 3.42”.
This 3-in-1 model features a discharger that can collect, mulch, and eject the grass to the side. The discharging bag is 2.2 cubic feet in volume and it is attached to the back of the machine, and you can either opt for storing the grass in here or turn it into mulch. Even if you are not familiar with mulching, this machine will show you how it’s done and if you do not like it, you can go back to the traditional grass storing or discharge the grass at a side. No matter what your preferences are, this model offers you the flexibility to choose. The height of the deck can be adjusted to 4 positions, according to the height and thickness of the grass, and no matter what position you choose, it will assure an even and precise cut on any type of terrain.
This 66-pound machine with a compact design makes for an excellent choice for small yards with tight turns and narrow gates. What really is to like about it is that it has smartly built wheels that offer it increased stability and easy handling. Given that this is a push from behind model, the level of comfort while pushing it is a very important aspect of the unit’s efficiency, and it has 8-inch wheels on the front and 12-inch wheels on the rear with a double ball bearing that make it easy to push even on hills. Another aspect of comfort is the handle that is different from other models that have handles that fit users of every height without offering the possibility to adjust them. This model has an adjustable handle with four settings, enough to please taller and shorter operators, and you will no longer have to worry about having a handle that is too short or too long or that you will have to bend while pushing the machine. The padding on the handle increases the comfort and helps you operate the machine easier even on cold days without feeling your hands freeze. The deck on this model is made of stainless steel and has a 21-inch cutting width, with 4 height adjustments, which is not impressive considering that other models offer up to 8 height positions. Another disadvantage is that you have to adjust the height for each wheel at a time, which is not very comfortable especially for elders. The deck has a 2.2 cubic feet soft bag attached for storing the grass, but it also includes a mulching feature and a side discharge feature, depending on your preferences.
The manufacturer provides the customers with a 3-year warranty when purchasing this product and cancels the warranty if the purchase is made for commercial use. Besides its base utility, namely cutting grass, this unit will offer comfort, stability, and durability if it is properly used and handled with care, being a machine that you can count on for many years.
